Lloyd’s Veterans Charity relies on the generosity of the insurance market community to continue our good works in support of veterans and their families. With exceptional governance, administrative support (and a generous annual contribution) from the Corporation of Lloyd’s, and the invaluable support of volunteers, we put those donations to work with incredible efficiency.

Please support us. It’s not the quantum that matters, it’s the act of giving. Click the button below to join the roll of LVC supporters.

Be part of it

Here’s how you can support the proud tradition of Lloyd’s Veterans Charity, and have some fun at the same time:

At the office

Organise a bake or book sale, set up a swear jar, or run a “guess the baby” competition. Tell the story of the veterans in your family on the office intranet, and ask colleagues for a contribution. Have a Minecraft tournament; donate 10p per experience point, win or lose. Challenge competing firms to beat your office total for LinkedIn bragging rights!

With your friends

Plan a boxed-lunch day and donate the savings to LVC. See who can do the most steps in a day, then donate your total in pence (or pounds!). Head to the Lamb, and donate the cost of a pint for every pint you responsibly enjoy. Book an escape room adventure, and give a pound for every minute you’re trapped.

On your own, with everyone

Collect pledges to run a marathon, rappel down your building (safely, with permission), or complete some other physical or mental challenge. Give up a guilty pleasure (the daily crisps?), and give the savings to LVC.  Wear an outrageous costume and a sign that says LVC, then simply stand still in the foyer with an upturned hat!

Whatever you do, tell everyone in advance, have fun, and don’t forget to ask your employer to match the funds you raise. Set up a Just Giving page in aid of LVC, take pictures, and don’t forget to tell us all about it. You can be confident we will put your efforts to work for veterans and their families.

Leave a legacy

Individuals: We’ve partnered with the National Free Wills Network to provide LVC supporters with a qualified, nearby solicitor to help you write your will for free. We ask only that you leave a legacy to LVC in support of veterans and their families.

Scratch the slip

Companies: Join our corporate subscription to support the Armed Forces Covenant. Signatory companies make a three-year commitment to donate an annual sum to be divided between LVC and the Lloyd’s & City Branch of the Royal British Legion.
