London’s insurance market has supported veterans and their families through the Lloyd’s Veterans Charity for more than 200 years.
We work with the Lloyd’s & City Branch of the Royal British Legion and the Lloyd’s Military Network to put the market’s corporate and individual giving to work efficiently by making grants to established charities. We focus particularly on mental health and employment projects and charities, but support others too.
Formerly the Lloyd’s Patriotic Fund, LVC aims especially to fund organisations which have been unable to raise sufficient support elsewhere to meet their potential for veterans and their families, despite their good work.
We’d like your support. Learn more here about who we help, and how you can join us in support of those who’ve served.

“You stand at the head of Society of noble minded men, whose object it is, by their kind benefactions not only to support & to comfort all those brave & distressed wounded warriors, who bled in the hot days of this month of June for the preservation of national liberty & independence, but also to provide for the widows & orphans of the gallant men who fell in those two bloody days, the 16th & 18th of June.”

Building Heroes helps those that have kept us safe from within the British Military community to achieve a seamless transition into the civilian workplace through training leading to a gateway of construction employment opportunities.
When a parent dies, the impact on their child is significant. When that parent served in the Armed Forces, the impact is even greater with children often feeling they’ve lost their connection to the military community. Scotty’s Little Soldiers prevents that. Together, we ensure the very best bereavement support.
Forces Employment Charity provides life-long, life-changing support, jobs, and training opportunities to Service leavers, veterans, reservists and their families. Last year the charity supported 28,193 ex-Forces personnel, families and Afghan civilians, and placed 14,967 clients into employment.
